Fresh from his Director's Fellowship at Robert Redford's Sundance Institute Theatre Lab in Utah, director/producer David Drake welcomes actor Aaron Tone to star opposite Scott Douglas Cunningham in this summer's return engagement of 2 Boys in a Bed on a Cold Winter's Night at the Art House Theatre in Provincetown, MA beginning Friday, August 7th. Tone, who received rave reviews for his performance as the volatile baseball player Shane Mungitt in the Provincetown Theatre Company's current production of Take Me Out, will be doing double-duty as a performer in P'town this month -- with Take Me Out continuing its run thru August 20th and 2 Boys in a Bed... playing thru Labor Day weekend.

A post-coital love story, James Edwin Parker's internationally acclaimed 2 Boys in a Bed... is a 70-minute play (without intermission) that explores the intimate emotions that arise between two gay men following a one-night stand in New York's Greenwich Village, circa 1987. 2 Boys in a Bed... will run at the Art House for five consecutive weekends at 9PM on Fridays and Saturdays from August 7th through August 22nd, and then at 9PM on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from August 27th through September 5th. A special Sunday night performance of 2 Boys in a Bed... will play at 8PM on September 6th.

WARNING: 2 Boys in a Bed... is for adults only. The production contains nudity and sexual situations.

The Art House Theatre, 214 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA. All tickets are $30. and can be obtained in-person at the Art House box office starting daily at noon, or online at www.ptownarthouse.com.

James Edwin Parker (playwright) - Two Boys in a Bed on a Cold Winter's Night; All American Boy, The Boy Band Musical (book & lyrics); Virtual Closet; ... and the Pursuit of Happiness; The White Bird Takes Wing; Drinking Games. He is a contributing author to "Mama's Boys: Gay Men Write About Their Mothers," and a founding member of Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Company. Parker resides in Manhattan with his partner Kyle Shadix and their magical menagerie of multiple felines. He is a member of The Dramatists' Guild, Inc.

David Drake (producer/director) is a actor, playwright, director and producer who returns to Provincetown after having just directed the workshop of Taylor Mac's new five-act epic The Lily's Revenge in July at Robert Redford's Sundance Institute Theatre Lab in Utah. Best known as the OBIE Award-winning playwright/performer of one of the longest-running solo shows in New York theater history, The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me, David's recent work as a director includes the New England premiere of Brad Fraser's Poor Super Man at the Art House in Provincetown last fall; his own multi-media adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore last winter; and the Irish premiere of 2 Boys in a Bed... in the ABSOLUT Dublin Gay Theatre Festival this spring. In June David took his production of Deborah Karpel's musical memoir Songs My Mother Never Taught Me to the Recklinghausen Festival in Germany for its European debut. This fall David will stage the world premiere of Taylor Mac's The Lily's Revenge at the HERE Arts Center in New York City.

Aaron Tone (Peter) began studying acting in 2006 at the Studio Theater Acting Conservatory in Washington, DC. Since then, he has appeared onstage in DC in The Pillowman and All That I Will Ever Be, and has understudied roles in Shining City and The Receptionist. Aaron just recently made his Provincetown theatrical debut as Shane Mungitt in Take Me Out at the Provincetown Theater. Originally from the suburbs of Detroit, MI, where he received his BFA in painting and drawing in 1998 from the College for Creative Studies, Aaron now lives with his husband and two beagles in our nation's capital for 9 months of the year, spending the summers here in P-town. He spends his free time working out, watching horror films and talking to his dogs.

Scott Douglas Cunningham (Daryl) is celebrating his first anniversary as a full-year resident of Provincetown this summer by stepping back into the show that brought him here in the first place, 2 Boys in a Bed... A native of Long Island, Scott is a graduate of New York's Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting and is a charter member of John Dapolito's Master Class for the Working Actor. On stage in New York, Scott starred in A Corner of a Morning at La Mama ETC (a revival of the first original play produced there). On TV, Scott has been seen in national commercials for Nikon, Papa John's Pizza, Rhapsody.com, and guest spots on "All My Children" and "As the World Turns." He is especially proud of his voiceover work in the Japanese anime porn Immoral Sisters Two. Last fall Scott starred in the regional premiere of Poor Super Man at the Art House.
