New England audiences were treated to the uncensored, uncut and as unpredictable as ever, comedian Billy Connolly in June 2007 at The American Repertory Theatre. Now he returns to Boston with his hilarious, oxygen-depriving new show Billy Connolly LIVE! for two performances only on May 6 & 7, 2010 (8pm) at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre, 265 Tremont Street in Boston's Theater District. Billy Connolly LIVE! is presented by WestBeth Entertainment. Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 2. Tickets are $53 - $63 (including fees) and are available by calling 866.348.9738, online at www.citicenter.org or in person at the Citi Performing Arts Center Box Office Tuesday-Saturday 12pm-6pm.

Connolly just completed a four-week sold out (3500 seats) run at London's Hammersmith Apollo proving yet again his universal appeal. Considered ‘Britain's greatest living comedian', critics have hailed him as ‘a genius', ‘a comic legend', ‘brilliantly funny' and ‘a superstar', they've called his comedy ‘priceless, non-stop laughter verging on tears' and ‘a must see night of comedy - he's fantastic, charming, rude and above all - hilarious.' Billy's audience is as diverse as his material.

Revered across the globe, he has broken box office records from the UK to New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, New York and Canada. The demand for tickets was so high during his recent tour of Scotland that ordering websites crashed the day tickets went on sale. Connolly was immortalized on the Avenue of the Stars (the UK's version of The Hollywood Walk of Fame) alongside Sir Laurence Olivier, John Cleese and The Rolling Stones.

Best known in the United States for his starring role in the popular 1980's sitcom Head of the Class, Connolly most recently appeared in the X-Files sequel untitled X-Files sequel feature film X-Files: I Want To Believe and the sequel to the cult classic Boondock Saints, Boondock Saints II - All Saint's Day, and will next be seen in the upcoming film Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black and Jason Segel. Connolly has also appeared on-screen with some of Hollywood's biggest stars including Dame Judi Dench in the prestigious art film Mrs. Brown, Tom Cruise in The Last Samurai and Jim Carrey in Lemony Snicket's - A Series of Unfortunate Events.
