FSPA Students to dance CINDERELLA SUITE With Symphony Pro Musica, 1/26

Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) collaborates with Symphony Pro Musica in a concert performance of Prokofiev's Cinderella Suite. The ballet excerpt, choreographed by Clyde Nantais, is part of Symphony Pro Musica's "Musical Matinee: A Family Concert." Performances are at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 at Hudson High School and on Sunday, January 27 at Westborough High School. Under the direction of founder and Music Director Mark Churchill, the premier MetroWest community symphony orchestra will present a family-friendly program that also includes Poulenc's The Story of Babar with narration and Saint-Saen's The Elephant and Fossils with student musicians from Hudson and Westborough.

FSPA students dancing in Cinderella include Franklin's Shaina McGillis in the title role, Jocelyn Jones of Franklin and Jenna McDermott of Wrentham as Step Sisters, Ali Funkhouser of Franklin as Step Mother, McKenna May of Wrentham as Fairy Godmother, and Lucas Melfi of Franklin as Prince. Ladies at the ball are Kelsey McMillan of Walpole, Sarah Metras of Franklin, Sarah Radford of Wrentham, and Maddy Williams of Medway. Students cast as dwarfs include Emily Buliung from Foxboro; Clair Bauer, Paige DeMarino, Dora Ebbeling, Lauren and Megan Foellmer, Kelly Irwin, Hannah and Madison Rezendes, and Delaney Zolnowski from Franklin; Jack Mullen from Millis; and Madeleine Cron from Wrentham.

Under the direction of Ballet Mistress Cheryl Madeux Abbott, who formerly danced
with American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet and Hartford Ballet companies, FSPA's Ballet
Conservatory provides classical ballet training and performance experiences for students of
all ages and levels. FSPA's Dance Department also offers an extensive roster of classes in jazz, modern, tap, hip hop, and lyrical, including classes specifically for boys, adults, and beginner teens. Programs are available for recreational interest or serious study and are offered in Franklin and at the school's new satellite location in downtown Hudson. Registration is ongoing for all dance, music, and drama programs, with tuition prorated. Prospective students are invited to try a complimentary class.

Tickets for "Musical Matinee: A Family Concert" cost $22 for adults and $18 for seniors if purchased in advance; prices are $25 for adults and $20 for seniors at the door.
