Stoneham Theatre's all time favorite Kathy St. George will bring in the New Year singing all our favorite show tunes and Great American Songbook hits. Accompanied by a seven-piece band, St. George will also include in her repertoire several Judy Garland numbers, including the classic sketch "The Wizard of Oz in Ten Minutes" which was last seen in St. George's sensational one woman show Dear Miss Garland staged at Stoneham Theatre in the summer of 2009.

"St. George ... magnificent." (Boston Globe)

The band for the evening, conducted by Jim Rice, will include Rice on piano, Tim Cote on trumpet, Rick Copeland on trombone, Mike Crowley on tenor sax, Heather Katz-Cote on woodwinds, Mick Lewander on drums, with the bass player to be determined shortly. Ryan McGettigan's playful set for the currently running The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will be in place to heighten the festivities and a little bubbly will make the evening's celebration extra bright.

Kathy St. George has been seen at Stoneham Theatre in the following productions: Dear Miss Garland, Pete N' Keely, and A Christmas Carol. She is also performing in the Theatre's current production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. On Broadway, St. George has performed on Fiddler on the Roof, directed by Jerome Robbins (Tony award for Best Revival) and on Off-Broadway she has been involved in the following productions: I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (along with five national tours), Menopause the Musical, Respect, Nine, Shear Madness, Blithe Spirit, Ruthless!, and in the title role of Peter Pan. A two-time IRNE Award recipient for Das Barbecu and And Now Ladies and Gentlemen, Miss Judy Garland, St. George is a Stoneham native and a Salem State grad. Her upcoming shows include The Producers in Vero Beach, FL (Feb/Mar 2011) and 42nd Street at Stoneham Theatre (May 2011). Visit www.kathystgeorge.com.
