"Ain't Misbehavin'" at Lyric Stage Company

A combination of art deco scenic design, evocative 1930s costumes, and rhythmic pounding of stride piano electrify the stage for a lively rendition of "Ain’t Misbehavin’" the Fats Waller musical featuring an ensemble of five performers who could have been reincarnated from the Harlem Renaissance era. Director/choreographer Josie Bray and Music Director Catherine Stornetta capture the sounds, soul and sensibility of the period, enhancing the musical revue with characters who reflect the personal nature of Waller’s compositions.
