Stu served in the U.S. Army from January 1968 to January 1970. Through much of 1969, he was a combat photographer/writer with the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam; it is that service which provided the impetus for this solo, stage performance.

People's Light is proud to announce Sanjit De Silva, James Ijames, Deepa Purohit, and Laura Schellhardt as the participating playwrights in the second round of the company's groundbreaking New Play Frontiers Residency & Commission program. Peninsula Players Theatre, in conjunction with its production of the magical and hilarious "Peter and the Starcatcher" by Rick Elice, will host a pre-show seminar Thursday, July 13 starting at 6:30 p.m.   "Peter and the Starcatcher" is based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson with music by Wayne Barker and is a grown-up prequel to the legendary Peter Pan. Harter Clingman, who portrays Smee, will host a discussion in the theater before the July 13 performance.

Last night, Nikolai Foster's revival of Annie opened at the Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End. The production stars Miranda Hart as Miss Hannigan, Alex Bourne as Daddy Warbucks, Holly Dale Spencer as Grace Farrell, Jonny Fines as Rooster and Djalenga Scott as Lily.

Dina Merrill Hartley (born Nedenia Marjorie Hutton; December 29, 1923-May 22, 2017) was an American actress, businesswoman and philanthropist.  She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

As part of Performing Arts at the Community College of Baltimore County's "A Year of Shakespeare," Academic Theatre at CCBC Catonsville and the Interpreter Preparation Program are teaming to present "Romeo and Juliet" in both spoken English and American Sign Language.  Performances will be held March 23 at 11:10 a.m., March 24 and 25 at 8 p.m., March 26 at 3 p.m., and March 27 at 10 a.m. in the Center for the Arts Theatre at CCBC Catonsville, 800 S.
