NIGHTLIFE LEGEND

Maureen McGovern

Past winners who have performed at the Nightlife Awards have included the late Alan King, Robert Klein, Eartha Kitt, Betty Buckley, Keely Smith, kristin chenoweth, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Elaine Stritch. This high-profile annual event has also featured famous stars from other media who have come to Town Hall in support of New York Nightlife, including the late film director Robert Altman, Oscar-winning actor F. Murray Abraham, famed dancer John Selya, TV personality Tony Danza and many others.

Creator/Producer Siegel, is also the creator of such other critically acclaimed events as "Broadway by the Year," "Broadway Unplugged" and "The Broadway Cabaret Festival," all which take place at The Town Hall. "The Nightlife Awards," says Siegel, "is the Nightclub performer's answer to the Tony's.   Every year, the very best nightclub performances of the year are chosen by nearly thirty critics and judges and are given their due in just the right way: by showing why they were chosen by performing rather than making acceptance speeches. This is the most audience-friendly awards show ever created!"

The top ticket is only $75 and prices range to $50 and even $25 in order to ensure that everyone has a chance to see the best nightclub performers in New York all on one stage, on one night.

Tickets are now available at the Town Hall Box Office at 123 W. 43rd Street from Noon to 6 PM every day but Sunday, and through www.TicketMaster.com (212-307-4100).
