This variety show-style concert will include stories about his work with such superstars as Martin Short, Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Lane, Bette Midler, Billy Crystal and more!
The production will tell the story of Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America, joined by Peggy Carter, Nick Fury and select members of the Avengers. The musical follows Rogers' journey from World War II to leading the Avengers as Captain America. The musical was teased by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman's 'Save the City' in Hawkeye.
Disney Parks have teased that Shaiman and Wittman's Rogers: the Musical will be adapted into a complete production for a run at Disney California Adventure Park this summer. The theme park's official Twitter account shared a video of a woman holding a program for the musical walking into the Hyperion Theatre.
Disney's latest Marvel series, Hawkeye, featured the fictional Rogers: The Musical, complete with an original song from Tony-winning collaborators Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
